Volunteer for a Day of Service
Join us on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Applegate Park for a day of community engagement and support! There are 3 exciting events lined up: Community Clean Up with Mayor Serratto, Grill and Give hosted by UCM Bobcat Community Builders, UCM Business Society, and Brothers and Sisters United, and a Resource Fair for Unhoused Individuals organized by The Legacy Project. All events will be taking place at the Applegate Park (1045 W. 25th Street, Merced, CA) in the amphitheater area. Check out the menu of event below for more details and registration information. COMMUNITY CLEAN UP
Join Mayor Serratto at Applegate Park to clean-up Applegate, Bear Creek & Merced's downtown alleys!
Meeting location: Applegate Park Zoo Rossotti, 25th & R Street
Time: 10 AM - 12 PM (Lunch will be provided at 12 PM)
Transportation will not be provided. Please bring closed-toe shoes, your refillable water bottle, and dress in layers! Gloves, bags and litter pickers will be provided!

Grill and Give
Join UCM Bobcat Community Builders, UCM Business Society, and Brothers and Sisters United to grill and distribute delicious food to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Meeting location: Applegate Park Amphitheater - Look for the Business Society canopy to check-in! You will receive a shirt for your participation in this event.
Time: 10 AM - 3 PM
Limited transportation will be provided. Those requesting transporation will be leaveing campus at 9:30 AM and will be returning back to campus by 3:30 PM.

RESOURCE FAIR FOR UNHOUSED INDIVIDUALS (Volunteers not needed for this event)
The Legacy Project is providing free ID & birth certificate forms for california natives, spiritual counseling, wound care, and Cal-Fresh & Medi-cal sign ups for unhoused individuals.
