What is #CaliforniansForAll College Corps?

Led by the California Volunteers, Office of the Governor, the CaliforniansForAll College Corps initiative has three goals:

  • Engage college students in meaningful service to build leadership and civic responsibility
  • Promote academic success and economic well-being with students from diverse backgrounds
  • To support the work of community-based organizations in key local priorities: K-12 Education, Climate Action, and Food Insecurity

Students who complete all fellowship requirements will receive the following benefits:

  • Up to $10,000 per academic year with completion of 450 hours of service
  • Real-world experience and skills to add to their resumes
  • Training, networking, and professional development opportunities
  • Pride and accomplishment in working toward a common purpose alongside young leaders from across the state

 

How many community service hours are fellows required to complete? 

Fellows are required to complete 450 hours. These hours can include both service and training. 

 

Will I get paid as a fellow in College Corps? 

Yes! Each student receives living stipends and additional educational awards - combining up to about $10,000! 

 

As an undocumented student, am I still eligible for the program? 

Yes, College Corps proudly welcomes all students regardless of their immigration status. 

 

When are timesheets due? 

Timesheets are due on a bi-weekly basis. The calendar for the 2024-2025 academic year will soon come. 

 

Are there things that fellows are not allowed to participate in? 

There are certain things that fellows ar prohibited from doing as they represent College Corps. Please refer to this link to read more.

Fellows are expected to not participate while accumulating service and/or training hours, or while representing the program. 

 

Can I be reimbursed for travel expenses? 

Yes, if you are driving yourself and/or another fellow, you can be reimbursed for the trips made to the host sites.
