United Way: 211

United Way is one of the biggest non-profit organizations in the United States that primarily focuses on community well-being by promoting education, income assistance, and health globally.

211, a program under United Way, is a toll-free phone number that can be accessed by any member of a community to receive information on local organizations that provide help. Some examples of local help are; supplemental food, shelter options, and so on.

After training with United Way, volunteers will be on the receiving end of the 211 calls and provide callers with the information they need.
