Special Workday at the Campus Orchard - Pruning fruit trees and planting new bare root trees within the orchard. Join Maxwell Norton, Farm advisor for a free Community Education Workshop on Pruning Backyard Fruit Trees. This opportunity consists of two parts.
Morning Session: Workshop on pruning topics from 10 AM - 12 PM
Location: UCCE Classroom at 2145 Wardrobe Ave, Merced. (Please note this session is off-campus)
Lunch will not be provided.
Afternoon Session: Pruning and planting fruits trees demonstration from 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Location: UC Merced Student Orchard (East side of campus). Exact directions will be provided at the morning session.
Please wear boots, warm clothing, gloves, and protective eyewear. f you have them, bring your pruning shears and loppers.
