We are looking for new Tutor Mentors to volunteer at the Harvest Park Educational Center (HPEC)! This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with the students of Merced, providing them with the extra support they need to succeed in their educational journey.
As a Tutor Mentor, you will be more than just a tutor. You’ll be a friendly face, a motivator, and a guide, helping students grow academically and emotionally. This rewarding role gives you hands-on experience and the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners.
Responsibilities:

Assist students with homework, reading, and supplemental worksheets.
- Lead sessions focusing on literacy, grammar, and socio-emotional learning.
- Track and document student progress through daily case notes and reading logs.
Requirements:
- Must maintain passing grades
- Reliable transportation (must arrange own transportation)
- Ability to pass a background check (DOJ)
- Must complete mandatory training prior to participation
HPEC Operating Hours:
Monday – Thursday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Volunteers must commit to attending every Monday through Thursday for a minimum of one shift per week, although two shifts are preferred.
