Read and Succeed: Merced County Library
Read and Succeed empowers adults and families in Merced County to achieve their literacy goals through personalized tutoring, accessible resources, and supportive learning environments. We are committed to fostering lifelong learning, strengthening essential reading and communication skills, and building confidence that leads to greater opportunities for education, employment, and community engagement.
The program helps adults improve reading, writing, English literacy, and computer use, while also supporting goals like earning a GED, studying for a driver's license, finding better work, and helping children succeed in school.

Compassionate Care Hospice
Compassionate Care Hospice is dedicated to providing patient-centered, end-of-life care that honors dignity, comfort, and quality of life. Our interdisciplinary team supports not only the physical needs of our patients, but also their emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.
Volunteers can provide companionship through friendly visits, conversation, reading, or simply being present with patients. Office volunteer roles include assisting social workers, the intake team, and administrative staff, all of which provide valuable skills, experience, and exposure to the hospice care process and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Merced Parks and Community Services
The mission of the Parks and Community Services Department is to plan, facilitate, promote, maintain, and develop activities and facilities that enhance the quality of life in Merced.
The department provides opportunities for the Merced community by hosting programs, volunteer opportunities, and events for youth, adults, and seniors at the many parks and green areas located in Merced. These range from sport leagues and special events to movies in the park and zoo experiences for all ages.

HPEC
HPEC's purpose is to provide at-risk, disconnected, and poverty-stricken children and youth with supplemental education and new information in an individualized program where they will be encouraged to build on their skills.
We provide volunteer opportunities to college students to become tutor mentors. As tutor mentors, the volunteers connect with students and aid them with homework along with other subjects. Such subjects include review of common core math and ELA, a literacy program to aid students in reading fluency, and PBLT. PBLT is proprietary work that provides brain-based, early-prevention recovery lessons in academic, behavioral, and mental health disciplines.

The Alliance for Community Transformations provides responsive and preventative services to individuals and families, and works through partnerships and collective action to create truly safe, healthy and socially just communities where every member thrives.
CASA of Mariposa CASA of Mariposa is a local branch of a national, nonprofit organization that focuses on volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children.Mountain Crisis Services Mountain Crisis Services seeks to prevent domestic and sexual violence by advocating for positive changes in the societal systems that may lead to oppression, fostering a better understanding of domestic and sexual violence through community education, and providing culturally relevant direct services that empower victims of abuse and their children.Mariposa Family Resource Center Mariposa Family Resource Center provides essential support and resources to families in Mariposa County. The center offers parenting guidance, family counseling, and hosts engaging activities like movie days, game days, and frock shop events, all promoting healthy living.Mariposa Heritage House Mariposa Heritage House inspires people to redirect and improve their lives by offering both peer-counseling and recovery support services – including training opportunities and access to resources for individuals and families – set in a safe, supportive environment.Valley Crisis Center Valley Crisis Center seeks to prevent domestic and sexual violence by advocating for positive changes in the societal systems that may lead to oppression, fostering a better understanding of domestic and sexual violence through community education, and providing culturally relevant direct services that empower victims of abuse and their children."Placeholder"
