Community Partners

Welcome, Community Partners!

The UC Merced Center for Community Engagement (CEC) connects community organizations with passionate UC Merced students. Through reciprocal partnerships, we help address community-identified needs while supporting student learning, leadership, and civic engagement.

1

Partner With UC Merced CEC

The Center for Community Engagement serves as a bridge between your organization and UC Merced students. If you have volunteer opportunities, events, or ongoing projects, we can help recruit and connect student volunteers to support your work.

Our goal is to create partnerships that are meaningful, reciprocal, and beneficial to both your organization and our students.

Community partners are essential educators. Your partnership provides valuable real-world learning while strengthening our community.

2

Partner With UC Merced College Corps

College Corps is a year-long fellowship program where UC Merced students commit 450 hours of service to community organizations. Partnering with College Corps means hosting a dedicated fellow who will serve your organization consistently throughout the academic year.

College Corps fellows commit to 12–15 hours per week of direct service. This provides your organization with reliable, sustained support.

3

Community Partner Jamboree

The Community Partner Jamboree is one of our largest annual events, bringing together hundreds of UC Merced students and community organizations. This event provides partners the opportunity to connect directly with students, share their mission, and recruit volunteers.

Over 140 students participated in our most recent Jamboree. It's one of the best ways to build meaningful connections with UC Merced students.

4

Community Partner Impact Award

This award recognizes outstanding partners who have collaborated with UC Merced to create meaningful community impact while supporting student success.

If you have partnered with UC Merced, your organization may be eligible to be nominated.
