Attention all Bobcats!!
We are proud to introduce an exciting long-term volunteer program in partnership with the Merced County Office of Education! This program offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting Merced residents in their pursuit of educational success. Volunteers will play a crucial role in assisting students striving for their high school diplomas or helping younger learners enhance their proficiency in a second language.
By being a part of this program, you’ll provide essential classroom support, help students reach their academic goals, and gain valuable hands-on experience in education and community service. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to make a lasting impact while building skills in teaching and mentorship. This program qualified for the Service Experiential Graduation Pin and Catlife Service Hours. At the completion of the program, you will receive a Linked.In endorsement from CEC staff.
Volunteer Requirements
- Attend one info session
- MCOE background check (paid by MCOE)
- Proficiency of English and Spanish only if volunteering in the DLI program
- Must attend in a reoccurring basis to the selected site - can only miss 3 days.
- Commitment: Long-term availability with flexible shifts based on school schedules.
