We are happy to announce an exciting opportunity for all students who have one or two years before graduating to participate in the opportunity for the Donald A. Strauss Foundation Scholarship opportunity! This is an opportunity to create your own project with a strong community service background with an initiative to support our Merced community for the better! This initiative can support any area of interest that you believe is needed in the community with a clear goal and outline of what your proposed initiative is looking to accomplish.
The program requires the following to be eligible:
- One page Resume
- One page Personal Essay
- 4 page Proposal, which includes a Timeline and a Budget
- 2 Letters of Recommendation
- Transcript
- Acceptance Agreement (download form from the application website)
The Donald A. Strauss Foundation Scholarship provides a total of $15,000 to selected students and their program where $7,000 can be given to students to fund their tuition and expenses. While all proposals are considered, they should be focused clearly on social change / public service / social entrepreneurship. The deadline to apply is January 27th, 2025.
