2025 Summer Volunteer Opportunities

School's out, but service is still in session! 

If you're looking to stay involved and make a difference, we have plenty of volunteer opportunities waiting for you. We’re currently offering local volunteer options in Merced, along with a few select opportunities for those in Los Angeles County. Our community partners are counting on your support!

Merced Opportunities


  • Kind Neighbor Farmers Market

  • Joe Herb Park Clean-Up

    Join Mayor Serrato and Ashley Verna & YPN Merced County for a park clean up at Joe Herb Park!

  • A Family, A Fair

    We are looking for volunteers who would like to support this community event for our Merced families! The event will feature a wide range of activities, from resource booths and family-friendly entertainment to interactive workshops, all aimed at promoting community engagement and well-being.

  • Kid Classes - Central Valley Coalition

    Passionate About Working with Kids? Volunteer to Support Local Youth! Engage with students by assisting with homework, leading educational activities, and leading outside summer activities.

  • Kids Discovery Station

    We're excited to offer two volunteer opportunities during the summer to support the Kids Discovery Station and the Children's Museum!

  • UC Merced Campus Garden

    Tuesdays 10 AM - 11 AM and Thursdays 9 AM - 11 AM

    No Registration Required.

Los Angeles County Opportunites

Even if you're spending the summer away from campus, you can still make a difference. UC Merced students in Los Angeles County have access to a variety of service opportunities to stay engaged, build skills, and give back to the community.
