UC Merced students and alumni in action!
"Bobcats Give Back: Day of Service" was held on Saturday, March 18 at Lake Yosemite. About 70 volunteers ranging from UC Merced students, alumni, and staff members showed up and spent the morning picking up litter and pulling weeds at Lake Yosemite.
Due to the park's close distance to the university, many of Lake Yosemite's visitors are students. This made Lake Yosemite an excellent place for this year's service project as it would be a great opportunity for bobcats to give back to their community by cleaning the park students visit the most!
