Merced County Library Literacy Program

Attention Bobcats!

Are you passionate about giving back to your community and helping others in underserved communities develop their skills for success? If so, the Merced County Library Literacy Program needs you! We are seeking volunteers who who are eager to tutor and mentor community members in improving their English reading and writing skills! 

This is a smester long commtiement, where you’ll work one-on-one or in small groups with adults at the Merced County Library. You will help mentor and provide the consistent support and guidance needed to help participants grow their confidence and abilities in English.

The program offers flexibility to fit around your academic and personal commitments, ensuring you're still able to participate without compromising your schedule. By participating in the Merced County Library Literacy Program, you will be eligible for our Community Service Graduation Pin! Full participation must be completed for the Community Service Graduation Pin, which is a semester-long commitment.
