The Community Engagement Center at UC Merced offers a variety of pathways to engage with the community. Each of the service projects requires students to attend an initial training and a semester-long commitment. The projects offer the opportunity to develop relationships and to see and experience change over time. They are, at once, challenging and inspiring!
Every time you participate in direct (hands-on) community service, the time spent can be recorded into your club service account and (simultaneously) into your personal Involvement Portfolio in Catlife. Recording service hours can be a benefit for your future resume or graduate school application. It also contributes to the year-end total number of service hours contributed by UC Merced students, a number that needs YOUR hours to be more accurate.
